Smart drip irrigationSmart Irrigation Month is the industry’s showcase month to promote the social, economic and environmental benefits of efficient irrigation technologies, products and services in landscape, turf and agriculture irrigation. It’s also a chance to differentiate your business as water smart.

2017 is an exciting year for the Smart Irrigation Month initiative. There are more efficient technologies on the market than ever before and even more ways to connect customers, the media and policymakers with the Smart Irrigation Month message.

Here are a few ways you can help get the word out:

Technology Tuesday – On July 11, Technology Tuesday will serve as the official kickoff of Smart Irrigation Month. This is the day when all industries who rely on a sustainable water source for irrigation can join together and showcase the new and innovative technologies used to save water.

Thunderclap campaign – Join the Irrigation Association on social media through their Thunderclap campaign. A unified and far-reaching message in support of Smart Irrigation Month will be sent on July 11.

Social Media contest – Show us how you are promoting the message of efficient irrigation by using #smartirrigationmonth. All social media activities with this hashtag will be counted as part of our social media contest. The winner will receive an Irrigation Association store credit to get a free show registration or to register for a free class.

Announcements – The Irrigation Association will be announcing several new initiatives throughout the month of July using Smart Irrigation Month as a platform and driver. If you do make any social media announcements, be sure to use #smartirrigationmonth so it will be counted as part of our social media contest.
