History

Established in 1910, the Massachusetts Nursery & Landscape Association, Inc. (MNLA) is a nonprofit organization whose members are businesses and individuals who are committed to promoting environmental awareness and the highest standards of the Massachusetts nursery and landscape industry.

Massachusetts environmental horticulture industry contributes an estimated $2.6 billion to the Massachusetts economy. MNLA members grow, sell, install, maintain and preserve the living landscape. $4.7 Billion & Growing Economic Impact Study.

According to the recent economic impact study supported by the Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association, Inc., Massachusetts green industry employed at least 68,000 people at nurseries, greenhouses, florist shops, garden centers and landscape-related businesses. Almost two-thirds (43,000) of these are full-time positions. An additional 7,500 jobs remain available in the industry.

MNLA members work to promote the environmental well being of our state as well as the highest levels of business ethics within their profession.
